Corduroy

Annotation
Corduroy is a teddy bear, displayed on a toy shelf in a department store. One day, a girl named Lisa goes to the department store with her mother and spots the bear. Lisa wants to buy him, but the mother doesn't want to spend money on Corduroy because there is a button missing from his overalls. After they leave the store, Corduroy decides to find the missing button himself and goes on a trip around the department store when it closes. Continue to read to find out what happens to Corduroy.

How it Connects: Students can discuss how Corduroy responds when the mother won't let Lisa buy him, and how he responds when he finds out his button is missing along with the challenges he goes through to get his button back.
