How it Connects: This book gives the reader information on all of the different colors of crayons. It is a review of colors for the reader.

3.) Ask and answer questions about what a speaker says in order to gather additional information or clarify something that is not understood.

How it Connects: As the students are reading, it is important for them to learn how to think deeper into the text and come up with questions that can be discussed with the class.

Centers: Students can split up into groups and use any medium they want to draw a picture and review different colors.

Differentiation
This book would be good for students struggling with dyslexia because it is an easier/shorter novel. The story could be a beginner book for those having a harder time with reading and comprehension.
